Braves look to their Ace, Teheran, to end horrible pitching streak
After the Braves pitching rotation and bullpen has given up a staggering 40 runs in 4 games, the Braves turn to their Ace, Julio Teheran to get them back on track. Teheran brings a 4.33 ERA and a 2-2 record after giving up 15 runs in his last three starts, looking to end his personal streak and help the pitching core get back on track.
Teheran after becoming a 2016 All-Star, has had some difficulty against the Nationals and Mets to start off the year after blowing by the Padres and Pirates within his first 3 starts. Walks seem to be the issue and what is causing Teheran to go into deep pitch counts early in games. If he is able to eliminate those walks, look for tonight’s game to be a pitching battle as he faces Cardinals pitcher, Mike Leake who brings a 1.35 ERA and a 3-1 record at 7:10pm EST.
