On Saturday afternoon, Atlanta United FC took on rival, Orlando City in Mercedes-Benz Stadium. With all of Atlanta supporting their 1st year team, there wasn’t an empty seat in the house!

After going down 2-1 at halftime, the announcers came over the intercom and reported that we, the fans, were making history with a new MLS Attendance Record of 70,425 fans! With this feat, Atlanta United trumps the previous record held by Los Angeles vs MetroStars who had 69,255 fans 21 years ago!

Unfortunately the match ended with a 3-3 tie after Josef Martinez has his 3rd Hat Trick for ATL this season!

Atlanta United has their next match at home on Wednesday, September 20th at 7pm, when they face the LA Galaxy in a rescheduled match from August 19th.

Look for Atlanta United to continue to find Josef Martinez who has sealed himself as the primary scorer for the club.
