#5 Georgia Continues to Roll in 45-14 Win over Vanderbilt
As I stated in my previous article, #5 UGA vs Vanderbilt Week 6 Prediction
This game was going to be a blowout and I predicted a 41-10 victory, which was almost spot on.
In a game that was completely lopsided, the Georgia Bulldogs seniors stepped up and avenged a loss they suffered last year in Athens.
With Nick Chubb (16 carries for 138 yards and TD’s) and Sony Michel (12 carries 150 yards and 1 TD) leading the way, the Dawgs built a lead that constantly grew with every drive.
The Bulldogs without 3 starters on defense, Reggie Carter, Trenton Thompson, and Natrez Patrick, had multiple players fill their roles and keep that aggressive defense intact.
With the running core racking up 423 total yards on 56 carries, the Bulldogs were able to reach the 6-0 season record, the best start to a season since 2005. With this 45-14 victory, the Bulldogs have outscored their SEC opponents 117-17.
Following a University of Florida loss to LSU today, the Bulldogs take over the top spot in the rankings for the SEC East and have a meeting with Missouri at home next week, followed by a bye week and then the annual “World’s Largest Cocktail Party” game versus Florida!
With a big few next couple of weeks ahead, look for the Bulldogs to have a target on their back as the seem to be looking at a top 4 ranking in the Nation.
