UGA looks to get healthy during “Work Week”

With Georgia looking to get healthy in their bye week before Florida on October 28th, they will try not to become complacent. Instead of bringing the mentality that this is an off week, Coach Smart has said that this is a time for his players to continue to get better and healthier before starting the 2nd half of the season.
In a locker room speech Coach Smart was quoted to have said, “Some call this an off week, some call this a bye week, we call it a work week.” With Coach Smart completely turning around this Georgia team from last year’s 8-5 team to a 7-0 record to start the season, he will continue to push his players because he knows humility is a week away.
With multiple injuries occurring to starters on both the offense and defense, Coach Smart and his athletic staff will do everything in their power to get them back for Florida.
To everyone’s amazement, we have seen massive improvement with Trenton Thompson (went out with knee injury vs Tennessee) and Terry Godwin (exited with rib injury vs Missouri) who both were seen practicing on Wednesday and look to be back on track to play vs Florida.
In the previous years, the coaches have had some difficulty keeping their players from getting in trouble during the bye week which hindered the Bulldogs from finishing the year strong.
Coach Smart in his 2nd year as HC, has something special brewing and seems to have everyone under control and focused on the goal they set for themselves before the season.
