#3 UGA vs Florida Week 9 Prediction
After a rough last 3 outings vs Florida in Jacksonville that resulted in losses, the Georgia Bulldogs look to “change the tides” so to speak and continue their amazing season.
With a 3:30pm start time, the Bulldogs have a few keys to victory:
Don’t Allow the Past to Dictate the Future:
With the Bulldogs seniors looking to win their 1st and final game vs Florida, Coach Smart will continually remind his players that the past is the past and all that matters is the present. Knowing that football is both a physical and mental sport, going into the game with the right mindset will definitely help push the Bulldogs to victory.
Contain Feleipe Franks:
After multiple Florida QB’s have gone down with injuries, UF will look to freshman Felipe Franks to lead the offense. Franks known for having a strong arm and able to extend plays with his feet, will need to be contained by UGA in order to eliminate the big passing plays with a struggling Georgia secondary.
Play Georgia Football:
In Kirby Smart’s 2nd year as the HC, the Bulldogs look like a completely different team. UGA has identified themselves as a team that gets up early and makes the opposing team “quit” after being down by multiple points.
Don’t Give Up on the Run :
In past years, the Georgia running backs have been unable to run on the UF defense. One major key to this game will be the UGA offensive line. The offensive line will dictate how this game plays out, if they are able to create holes for Nick Chubb and Sony Michel, it will open up the passing game and help UGA build a lead.
Dial Up Multiple Play Action Passes:
With freshman QB Jake Fromm playing lights out since his 1st start in South Bend, look for new plays and more accuracy by Fromm after having a week to prepare for UF. Like every week, we state that multiple play action passes are a must in order for UGA to win and this week is no different. With Javon Wims, Riley Ridley, and Terry Godwin all catching the ball pretty well, look for Fromm to air it out on a UF secondary that has said “he throws basic slants.”
If Georgia is able to accomplish these keys to victory, they should win easily.
