After demolishing both Tennessee and Florida with a combined score of 83-7, the Bulldogs are now sitting nice and pretty at a 5-0 conference record and a 2 game cushion over all of the SEC East.

With the latest AP Poll placing UGA and #2 in the Nation behind Alabama, the Bulldogs look ahead to their second to last home game against South Carolina on November 4th at 3:30pm.

On Monday afternoon, Coach Smart held his weekly press conference and answered media questions. One of the main and most popular questions asked, came in the form of CFP Rankings. When asked if he is concerned about the CFP Rankings, Coach Smart said, “it’s about how we finish.” He was also asked if his 8-0 team is ahead of schedule and Smart said, “to be honest, there is no schedule.”

In regards to South Carolina’s QB Jake Bentley, Coach Smart had nice things to say about him. “He has been around the game his entire life. He knows where the ball needs to go.” Coach Smart also stated that his only concern is on South Carolina this week.

With the first College Football Playoff Rankings coming out tomorrow, the Bulldogs are looking to have a top 4 spot with multiple people saying UGA could be either #1 or #2 based off of strength of schedule and who they have beaten.
