Atlanta United’s Julian Gressel named MLS Rookie of the Year

In his 1st year in the MLS, Julian Gressel made a name for himself and was recognized on Wednesday afternoon when he was named MLS Rookie of the Year!

Gressel made appearances in 32 matches and started 24 of them, in doing so he had 9 assists, 35 shots, 9 on goal and finished with 5 total goals.

When voting started, Gressel was thought to be the sure winner and it showed with the final votes coming in, Gressel securing 48.97% of the total votes.

Atlanta United coming off their successful inaugural season will look to make even more strides next year after they have had a season under their belt.
