In the wake of the Coppolella scandal, the Braves have announced their 2018 Coaching Staff.

In doing so they have a few new additions in the form of Walt Weiss as the bench coach, Eric Young Sr as first base and outfield coach and Sal Fasano as catching coach. With these new additions, the Braves have also retained hitting coach, Kevin Seitzer, and Marty Reed as bullpen coach. Terry Pendleton and Eddie Perez were dismissed of their coaching duties but were offered positions within the organization.

With theses additions, the Braves will look to upgrade their coaching roster while helping the young Braves players develop their games.

Weiss was previously with the Colorado Rockies as a manger from 2013-2016. Weiss brings along his former first base coach in Eric Young Sr.

Young Sr was the first base coach for the Rockies from 2014-2016.

Fasano was a minor league pitching coordinator for Toronto for the 2015 season after being a catching coordinator from 2013-2014.
