As avid baseball fans know, in the off-season it’s all work and no play for the rookies and minor leaguers who want to improve their game. With that being said, Braves outfielder and #1 prospect Ronald Acuna has lit up the Arizona League that started October 8th and ended today. In that time-frame, Acuna was able to rack up 27 hits on 83 at bats, 7 home-runs, and 16 RBI’s and came into today’s final with a .325 batting average.

Helping lead his team, the Peoria Javelinas, to the Arizona Fall League Championship, gave him one last chance to showcase his playing ability and he didn’t disappoint.

Being placed in the 5th spot in the lineup, the Javelinas relied on Acuna’s hitting ability.

In his 1st at bat: He lined out to 3rd. But in his next 2 at bats, he balled out!

In the bottom of the 3rd: He singled on a line drive to center that produced a RBI

In the bottom of the 4th: He singled once again but this time to right field and it gave him 2 more RBI’s.

At this point of the game it was all Acuna and the Peoria Javelinas relied solely on him.

In the bottom of the 8th and the title basically won, Acuna hit a sacrifice fly to center to give him his 4th RBI of the game!

With a 8-2 victory for the Javelinas, Acuna ended his day, 2-4 with 4 RBI’s!

With this great performance, Acuna looks primed to make a splash in the majors in 2018!
