Gwinnett Braves name changed to Gwinnett Stripers

On Friday afternoon, John Schuerholz spoke to the media and made the official announcement that the Gwinnett Braves were now having a name change in the form of the Gwinnett Stripers.

Earlier in the year, it was announced that there would be a name change due to the fact that multiple fans were buying Gwinnett Braves tickets thinking they were Atlanta Braves tickets after only finding out they weren’t at the gate of SunTrust Park.

With the name change, so do the jersey colors… the Braves AAA affiliate change from the traditional red and blue to green and navy blue.

With all the changes within the organization the past few months, they now look forward to the future.
