BREAKING NEWS: Braves trade OF Matt Kemp to Dodgers

In an attempt to open up an OF spot for upcoming Ronald Acuna, the Braves traded Matt Kemp to the Dodgers. With this trade Atlanta received 1B Adrian Gonzalez,  LHP Scott Kazmir, RHP Brandon McCarthy, and INF Charlie Culberson. Kemp had an ok year but fell victim to the injury bug that limited him to just 121 hits on 438 at bats and 19 homeruns.

The Braves not only opened up a spot in the OF but got a good amount in return.

As soon as the deal was completed, the Braves DFA’d Adrian Gonzalez.
