It’s official… Jacob Eason has transferred to the University of Washington. As many people figured, Eason was going to leave after true freshman, Jake Fromm, took over the reigns during his injury and recovery. With yet another 5 star QB in Justin Fields, arriving on campus early and fighting for playing time, the QB battle has become crowded and the best thing for Eason to do was to transfer.
With his time as a Bulldog being somewhat a decent career, Eason was able to play in 16 games, was 208-377 2,458 yards 16 TD’s and 8 Int’s. Unfortunately, his injury sidelined him for 5 weeks and ultimately allowed Fromm to take over the team.
With Miami (Coach Richt recruited him) and Washington (Washington native) on his list of possible landing spots, Eason has chosen to go back home and play for the Washington Huskies. With Eason ineligible to play this upcoming season, he must sit and wait a year before seeing the field. With Washington QB, senior Jake Browning, returning to play his final season, Eason now has time to really learn the playbook and get accustomed to the new offense the Huskies run.
