The highly recruited and #7 ATH in Georgia for the class of 2015 made an entrance when he had his family turn around in a line and their shirts stated, “Still 100% UGA.” From that point on, Terry was all Georgia.
With UGA, a run first offense, Terry made it very difficult for the coaches not to target him. In his freshman year, Terry caught 35 passes for 397 yards and 2 TD’s. Working across the field from now (New England Patriot WR), Malcolm Mitchell, Terry was the 2nd option and made the most of his opportunities.
In his sophomore year, Terry once more was a consistent target as freshman QB Jacob Eason took the reigns. With 38 catches for 397 yards the only difference was he didn’t record any TD’s. With Georgia having one of the worst offensive lines, Eason had very little time for Godwin to get down the field so he had to target now (Denver Bronco WR) Isaiah McKenzie a lot more.
But with those two guys in the NFL, Terry became the primary target. His junior year, 2017-2018, Terry exploded and showed he had NFL talent. He caught 38 passes for 639 yards and 6 TD’s. With his play and legendary one handed catch at Notre Dame, Terry began to make a name for himself.
After a great junior season, Terry has decided to stay for his senior year and “Finish the Drill.”
