BREAKING NEWS: Atlanta United FC selected Jon Gallagher with 14th pick of MLS SuperDraft

On Friday afternoon, Atlanta United FC picked Notre Dame grad, Jon Gallagher with the 14th overall pick of the MLS SuperDraft. With this pick Atlanta United FC now adds another forward to their roster.
The senior from Dundalk, Ireland, while attending Notre Dame, made a name for himself instantly when he earned a spot on the 2014 ACC Freshman team. As the years went by, Jon continued to get better and became a force to be reckoned with his junior and senior years. After recording 12 goals in his first 2 years, Jon had a breakout junior year and scored 14 goals in 21 games.
When many wondered if he could get any better, Jon surprised everyone and kept the pace he set in 2016 and added another 13 goals in 20 games his senior year. After 4 years, Jon racked up quite the accolades and now has made a MLS team!
