Braves Release Names of Non-Roster Spring Training Invitees
By. Andrew Rodberg
On Friday afternoon, the Braves twitter (@Braves) officially released the names of the non-roster spring training invitees. Among those are that of pitcher Kolby Allard and outfielder Ronald Acuna.
With the starting rotation and bullpen wide open, the following pitchers look to earn a spot on the big league roster!
Kolby Allard, Josh Graham,Luke Jackson, Phil Pfeifer, Miguel Socolovich, Mike Soroka and Kyle Wright.
Out of those names, the main pitchers that look to have an actual shot are: Kolby Allard, Luke Jackson and Mike Soroka
The catchers with invitations are: Rob Brantly, William Contreras, Alex Jackson, Tyler Marlette and Kade Scivique. With Tyler Flowers and Kurt Suzuki on one year deals, look for those two to split the catching duties.
The infielder invitees are: Christian Colon, Ray-Patrick Didder, Sean Kazmar, and Austin Riley. Between those 4 gentlemen, it looks like Austin Riley has the best shot at getting some playing time.
The outfielder invitees are: Ronald Acuna, Jaff Decker, Christan Pache, Dustin Peterson, and Danny Santana. After trading Matt Kemp back to LA this offseason, there is now a vacant spot in the putfield and it looks to be Acuna’s to lose.
With Spring Training right around the corner, look for these players to try to make a name for themselves!
