Now 3 weeks into the season, teams are starting to show who is for real and who isn’t with debatable games. Previously ranked #1 Alabama took on Ole Miss and demolished them 62-7, #2 Clemson had some first half trouble with Georgia Southern but ended up pulling away in the second with a 38-7, #3 Georgia continued to run the ball up and down the field with a 49-7 victory over Middle Tennessee, #4 Ohio State defeated a tough TCU team 40-28, and #6 Wisconsin were upset by a resilient BYU team 24-21. With the new rankings dropping at 2pm EST, the news came out and many were surprised as there were some serious changes.
The main changes were Wisconsin dropped to #18, LSU jumped to #6, Auburn dropped to #9 and UGA moved to #2.
The Top 25 came out and Georgia jumped Clemson into the #2 spot. With yet another big SEC East showdown coming up this Saturday vs the Missouri Tigers the game will be viewed nationally on ESPN. Kickoff is set for 12:00pm noon.
In the next published article, we will focus on the Dawg’s task at hand as they take on the Tigers and give our game-day predictions.
