Georgia stays at #2 in AP Poll Rankings 9/23/18

Now 5 weeks into the season, ranked teams are getting put on upset alerts weekly. Previously ranked #1 Alabama manhandled Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns 56-14, #2 Georgia defeated Tennessee 38-12, #3 Clemson needed last minute heroics to walk away with a win versus Syracuse 27-23, #4 Ohio State beat #9 Penn State in the final 2 minutes 27-26, #5 LSU demolished Ole Miss 45-16. With the new rankings dropping at 2:30pm EST, the news came out and many were surprised as there were 7 Top 25 teams you went down with losses.
The main changes were Ohio State jumped into #3 for the first time this season, Notre Dame to #6, and Penn State dropped to #11
The Top 25 came out and Georgia remained in the #2 spot. With yet another big SEC East showdown coming up this Saturday vs Vanderbilt in Athens, the kickoff time is set for 7:30pm(first night game of 2018).
In the next published article, we will focus on the Dawg’s task at hand as they take on Vanderbilt and give our game-day predictions.
