#6 Georgia vs #9 Kentucky Week 10 Prediction
Following another big win against their rivals, the Florida Gators, the Dawgs now look ahead to a matchup with the Kentucky Wildcats with a chance to defend their SEC Championship and SEC East title. With the huge matchup looming, Kentucky fans are not wasting any time as they trash talk and predict a beat down of the Dawgs.
Georgia on the other hand, have continued to do what they’ve done all season which is take in all the hate and bashing and use it as fuel for the week as they prefer to do their talking on the field with their play. With that being said, this game is huge as it will determine the SEC East Champion. With a 3:30pm kickoff, the Dawgs will look to improve to 6-1 in the conference and get to a 8-1 record. Here are a few keys to victory for the Dawgs.
Play Action Pass:
It is a proven fact that when an opposing team scores right away, the crowd is taken out of the game. The Dawgs led by Jake Fromm must throw the ball down the field as Kentucky is going to be locked in on the running backs. Getting Jeremiah Holloman the ball is a must. After a huge game against Florida where he caught 4 passes for 48 yards and 2 TD’s, Holloman is becoming the deep threat Georgia needed!
Stop the Run:
With Kentucky’s QB, not all that great, with only 988 passing yards and 3 TD’s, the Wildcat’s offense is solely relied upon RB Benny Snell who leads the team with 935 yards and 9 TD’s. As seen in their loss to Texas A&M, the Aggies were able to limit the damage that Snell could enforce and held him to 13 carries for 60 yards and no TD’s. If Georgia is able to stop the run, they will force Kentucky to throw the ball… which is bad for them because UGA has the #1 passing defense in the SEC.
Don’t Let Up:
This game can go two different ways, the Dawgs could be up by a huge margin or it could be a very close game with the last possession deciding the outcome. Either way, the Dawgs must remain humble and focused on the task at hand. It has become evident that Kentucky continues to come back in games and finish strong so the Dawgs can not let up.
Difference in Outcome:
- Stopping Benny Snell
- Getting to the QB
Prediction: Georgia 45 Kentucky 24
