Its officially Georgia Tech hate week. After the past two meeting in Athens, the Dawgs will look for snap a streak of 2 consecutive losses at home to Georgia Tech. With the Dawgs having difficulty with the run-pass option of Georgia Tech, here are a few keys to victory:

Force Turnovers/Collapse the Pocket:

With what could be the best defensive cornerback in the Nation in Deandre Baker, the Dawgs will need to force the issue and stack the box to stop the run while relying heavily on Baker and company to shut down the WR’s and make this a one-dimensional game. The ability of GT QB, TaQuon Marshall to run the ball as well as throw it will cause issues and they must contain him and cause him to make mistakes.

Come Out Swinging:

After an offensive clinic last week vs UMASS, the Dawgs need to keep that energy and cause GT defense to stay on the field with long TD drives. The less time GT has on the offensive side of the ball the better as UGA will force their will on the Yellow Jackets. If the game gets out of hand, allow Justin Fields to make a 2nd consecutive appearance to gain more confidence leading into the SEC Championship.

Don’t Let Up/Make a Statement:

With the final 2 weeks in play, the Dawgs have to continue to make a statement if they are going to make the CFP committee the opportunity to jump Michigan. Every game from this point on, will hold significance to the final 4 spots in the CFP.

Feed off the Crowd:

As this rivalry gets started, look for Dawg Nation to be in full force and ready to make a difference in the game. With the noon start, many will see a pretty tired crowd until the game gets going but once it does beware of the “Georgia Faithful.”

Prediction: Georgia 45 Georgia Tech 24
