ATHENS, GA— After the first of 2 bye weeks, the Dawgs return to action on October 5th to face the Tennessee Volunteers in Neyland Stadium. In their last visit to Knoxville, they shut out the Volunteers 42-0 and shocked their fan base. With a 6:00pm kickoff, the Bulldogs have a few keys to victory:

Poise:

With Fromm now in his 5th game of his junior year, this is a statement game for him. Fromm and co. must open up the playbook and showcase his arm if they are to keep teams from drawing up a game plan for them for the rest of the season. Jake known for his “commander and chief” mentality has limited himself from really putting up the “typical QB” numbers.( but I’m sure if you asked him all he cares about is winning) With Tennessee having nothing to lose, you best believe their stadium is going to be electric and very very loud. With that being said, Fromm must once again lead his troops into battle and drown out the noise if they are to make it to 5-0.

Efficiency:

This topic is going to stay the same as the ND prediction solely on the fact that from here on out, the Dawgs need to score a lot of points in order to impress the CFP committee. After taking a look at the drives vs ND, the Dawgs started off 3 of their first 4 with punts which was not what they were looking for. If the Dawgs want to make a statement and begin to put teams away early, they need to become more efficient with their drives by tacking on points every chance they can.

Defense:

As previously stated in our last prediction, the defense must continue to improve. Dawg Nation saw some of that vs ND as they forced 2 interceptions and 3 tackles for loss. With the young dawgs growing up before our eyes, they must  have a “next man up” mentality as no one is a clear cut starter. With Tyson Campbell and Eric Stokes still nursing injuries, everyone must be all hands on deck if they want to keep the Volunteers from making this a game.

If Georgia is able to accomplish these keys to victory, they should win

Prediction: Georgia 47  Tennessee 16
