BREAKING NEWS: UGA’s DC Mel Tucker gets 2nd Interview with Tenn

With developing news breaking the internet, it has been confirmed per @Mark_Schlabach that Mel Tucker is set to get a 2nd interview with Tennessee admins on Tuesday in New York concerning the open head coaching job.

Mel Tucker who has been Georgia’s DC since 2015, came to UGA with head coach Kirby Smart after Smart took the Georgia job. Mel known for his amazing ability on the recruiting trail, has been able to stack up Georgia’s defense and help lead them to a top 5 defense in only 2 years.

With new Tennessee AD, Phillip Fulmer, trying to fill the head coaching vacancy as quick as possible, Mel Tucker looks to be on the top of his list. Other coaches on the list include, Auburn DC Kevin Steele and SMU head coach Chad Morris.

Georgia faces Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl College Football Playoff Semi-final on January 1st at 5pm EST.
