With every week getting more and more meaningful for the College Football Playoff Rankings, the top teams must continue to win games in order to stay in the running for a top 4 spot.

As the first CFP Rankings came out, Alabama remained on top followed by Clemson, LSU and Notre Dame.

With the big showdown last week with #1 Alabama and #3 LSU, Alabama came out on top with a 29-0 victory, sealing the fate that all LSU fans didn’t want to see… another loss and officially out of playoff contention.

#2 Clemson did it’s thing and whooped Louisville 77-16, #3 LSU faced the powerhouse Alabama and got shut out 29-0. #4 Notre Dame squeaked out a 31-21 victory over Northwestern, #5 Michigan defeated Penn State to show they are the real deal 42-7 and #6 Georgia defeated #9 Kentucky 34-17 to win their second SEC East Title.

With the 2nd CFP Rankings coming out at 9pm on ESPN, LSU dropped to the #7 spot, Florida dropped to the #15 spot, West Virginia moved into the #9 spot and Georgia moved up one spot to the #5 spot making their goal of a second straight CFP in reach!

Georgia takes on a struggling Auburn team in Sanford Stadium this Saturday at 7:00pm.

Look for the Dawgs to play another great game in hopes of pushing into one of the top 4 spots!
